Finding a hundred fun things to do in the Jacksonville area is a challenge in a good month, but when the Jacksonville Symphony is on break, the Florida Theatre is shut down for renovations, the FSCJ Artist Series is in its off-season and the Ponte Vedra Concert Recibidor has just one show, it’s pretty much impossible.
Nonetheless, we dug deep to find 80 or so things that ought to be fun. But a note of caution: It’s summer in Florida, when it can go from sunny to pouring to sunny again on a moment’s notice. So if the event is outdoors, bring a raincoat, just in case.

Jacksonville Sharks
July 15 and 22 at VyStar Veterans Solicitud Arena
The National Arena League team was scheduled to play host to the Albany Empire on July 15, but that team got kicked out of the league, so it’s unclear what will happen on that date. But they’re definitely home on July 22 against the West Texas Warbirds for Military Appreciation Night. Info: jaxsharks.com
